Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is observed each year on September 17 to commemorate
the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787, and “recognize all who, by
coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.”
National Voter Registration Day
National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday celebrating our democracy. It
was first observed in 2012 and has been growing in popularity every year since. Held
on the fourth Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day will take place
on September 28, 2022. The holiday has been endorsed by the National Association of
Secretaries of State (NASS). It is further supported by the National Association of State Election Directors
(NASED), the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC), and the National Association of Election Officials (The Election Center).
